Outfit O'Clock #79 - Style Challenge: Florals

BONJOURNO :)

This is my entry for this month's Style Challenge which is held by the lovely people over at Style Compare. The theme of the challenge is florals so this is how I've styled this particular summery trend. I will now explain my choice (or attempt to anyway). Basically it hasn't been that warm around Telford as of late and even though it's been sunny I've still felt quite chilly so I thought to myself.. 'Well HOW THE HELL am I gonna make this outfit warm enough to wear during Spring.' I chose the dress to style as I loved the lattice effect at the back and thought it would be great to wear on holiday this summer.

After seeing a picture of Sushi from Le Blog De Sushi wearing a shirt under some dungarees I thought, well why not try styling my dress like that? I then opted for my basket handbag which my Grandma bought me years back as a gift. I love the different colours in the bag and I think it's just generally wonderful :) (plus the handle on the bag matched nicely with my wedges!)
So yes, what do you think?

Apologies for the milk bottle legs but I look ridiculous with fake tanned legs and a pale face and I don't have any dark foundation which would match. So yes, pale legs it is! (Note to self - must get some form of dark foundation.)

One main thing that I love about the dress is that it comes in the petite, tall and maternity range at Topshop. Talk about covering all body types! The print reminds me of china tea sets and makes me want to hold a tea party in my garden. With a pack of biscuits of course ;)

  6. This made me laugh- I bought this dress to wear to my grandparents' 50th anniversary party and got a blouse to go under it so they don't find out about my tattoo! I was worried it might look weird with the blouse but you've just reassured me- it looks great! Hadn't thought of a belt either. xx
