Outfit O'Clock #83 - Very Breton

Red Jeans - Style Piques £19
Gilet - XOXO
Handbag - Marc B @ T K Maxx
Jumper - Gift

HELLO MY LOVELY PEOPLE,

This is today's outfit. Needless to say it's pretty normal. I was feeling like I needed some stripes in my life earlier and fancied a dash of colour so I got my thinking cap on and decided to wear my bright red skinnies from Style Piques - which are now £19 uber bargainz. The super french looking, Breton striped jumper was a gift from my lovely step mum, Gina. She has pure taste!

Today I've written some more of my dissertation, planned my 21st birthday outing to Manchester and coughed a lot. Productive times! Tonight I'm going to have a quiet night in and watch some films in bed, how exciting is my life really? This week has been a week of terrible nights sleeps due to incessant coughing so I'm hoping and praying I get a decent bit of kip tonight. Fingers crossed.

In other news I think it's really sad about the Grand National and the poor horses that fell and had to be put down. I like horses :( they should be in fields neighing and trotting and doing big horse poos. Not jumping over fences, falling in ditches, hurting themselves and then being bumped off. Poor guys. It's really sad and I would've thought that society would have stopped it by now like they put a stop to fox hunting, dog fighting etc. It's just as cruel really. I'm all for racing and stuff, if it's on flat ground but expecting these animals to jump numerous, suicidal fences and hedges with huge ditches after them is just ridiculous. Bad times.

Anyway, rant over.  Hope you're all having a swell weekend :) xxx

  3. I love your jeans.
It is really sad about the horses, tbh i'm a racing fan and pay attention to meetings all the way through the year, though I only gamble during the flat season. I think the GN needs to have less horses in it. 40 is FAR too many. 20 max and that's a push. Poor synchronised and occurdingtopete. I do think the horses like having a run in a big group though cos you see the horses carry on if they unseat their rider till they get bored. It makes me laugh how they just keep going. They should of pulled synchronised out though when he unseated McCoy, he didn't want to run.

    1. Yeh 40 is definitely too much. I think maybe they should lower the height of the fences and hedges too. I used to be an avid horse rider when I was younger and so I've always had a bit of an attachment to horses and I remember I used to do show jumping with fences nowhere near as high as the grand national and that seemed enough for my horse. I can't stand to watch them in the National now because I dread the moment they fall. xx

    2. I used to ride a lot and loved it too, I remember my favourite horse and cried when the owner sold her. The fences are too high, lower numbers and lower horses would make it so much safer! I think one day they will do it but i can't see it happening anytime soon.

    3. Fingers crossed one day they will! Until then I don't think I'll be watching the GN. Can't be doing with the emotional wreck I become after xx

  4. Your eye make-up is always so perfect and you always look so chic darling, love the bright jeans :)

Horses along with dogs are my fave animals, I hate the Grand National.. beautiful horses being put down, just so people can have a lovely day out and place bets, it's horrid :( they are such gentle creatures that don't deserve to be treated like it.. makes me so angry.

    1. Aww thanks Josephine :)

Yes it is really sad, I hope it gets sorted I really do but I don't hold much hope. There's too many people out there who are in it for greed and don't give two shits about the horses.

  8. you look gorgeous; i lovelovelove the stripes against the red - lovely :)
I noticecd you study media and communications and this is one of my degree choices for next year when i venture to uni *arghghgh* - i was just wondering how you've found the course? I'm always sceptical of how amazing the unis make these courses sound; i love hearing opinions from students :) xo

  9. Very French :)

The grand national makes me sad these days, I know they break their legs sometimes, but do horses really need to be shot? I swear on Animal Hospital (the one with Rolfe Harris.. Showing my age haaa) they used to put casts on hamsters. So why can't they whack one on the horse and let it have a happy life in a field!!

    Rant over :P

  10. Aw you're looking lovely as usual! Love the gilet. Totally agree with you on the horses, I watched it on Saturday and it was horrible seeing them falling over :( They only seem to do it on the jumps though so why don't they carry on racing but just leave out the jumps! Seems so cruel :(

OMG YES we should definitely do a meetup soon. Perhaps a summery one in Birmingham? Just go to a park and drink Pimms or something haha. If only we could trust the weather!! We need to make it happen :) Lunch and then a night out or something, nice and relaxed meeting other bloggers :)
