Edgy Gothic Romanticism - Boohoo's 1st Boutique Collection!

"Dark romance signifies the direction for this collection with jackets and bustier dresses with strong feminine silhouettes, embellished with rich gold brocade and lavish rivet detailing. Black PU and mesh provide definition and texture, whilst metallic highlights on trousers and jackets add a directional opulence for winter."

"Focused on marrying a hardened rock edge with a gothic romanticism, Boohoo Boutique gives the usual Boohoo girl a dramatic alter ego for the new season. Impactful leather look pencil skirts and trousers sit alongside delicate chiffon and lace separates, giving the first boohoo boutique collection a wistful yet uncompromising outlook."

I must say, I'm really impressed with the Boohoo Boutique range which is now available online. The signature pieces in the collection, featured above, are really different from the clothes you can buy at other high street retailers and the prices seem really reasonable too! I'm loving the dark, goth/glam vibe that they've adapted into the Boutique range, and I'm really taken with the dress pictured in the first image. It's not my usual style, but I'd love to be able to pull something like that off! I'm also really fond of the boucle style jacket with leather and stud features which is in the third image. I'd never really think to mix the feminine style of a boucle jacket with leather and studs but it gives it a nice edge. I LIKE!

I really want to give this whole gothic glam trend a go this season. I bought the ultimate goth dress the other day (before my holiday) from River Island and I'm hoping to wear it this weekend to a Halloween party. It's a full length, long sleeved maxi dress in black with lace cut outs around the waist and a thigh high split. Sexy goth style. Might do a Morticia Addams this weekend, we'll have to see!

What are you guys doing for Halloween?? And more importantly, what are you dressing up as!!?

Sorry I've not blogged for a while, I've been on holiday to Gran Canaria (which was amazing) and I've also been busy with work and my freelance writing project! WOOP. Will hopefully get a post up soon about my holiday, not that there's very many outfit posts as half the time I was in a bikini by the pool. Let's just say I haven't been wearing a bikini today, talk about grizzly weather!

  1. I'm skint and I just had my hair dip-dyed so I'm making my own lion costume haha. I think home-made costumes are the best sometimes!
I love that last dress with the gold brocade-ish pattern x

  2. Such gorgeous pieces! Are you going to post your halloween outfit? I'm going as a fallen angel, going to backcomb my hair, stick feathers to me, break my wings and cover my hands in blood and do some dramatic make up!
