A Slight Obsession - Clinique Beauty Review

When it comes to Clinique beauty products, I'm a BIG MASSIVE GINORMOUS fan. Their skin range could be deemed as a life saver, particularly as the three step formula (face wash, clarifying lotion and moisturising gel) have helped banish unwanted rashes, blemishes, spots, etc over the past year or so! Their makeup is equally brilliant, yet subtle at the same time, and it's all great for creating a more 'natural' look as opposed to the 'I plaster my face in makeup' look.

I just wanted to talk about a few of my favourite Clinique products starting with Superbalanced Makeup which is from their foundation range. The Superbalanced Foundation was recommended to me by a Clinique beauty lady (I don't know what the technical term/role is) after I had dry skin problems earlier this year. She suggested that I tried the Superbalanced Makeup as I was getting a very dry forehead however my nose and chin were still quite oily. I can't stress enough how much the foundation has helped my skin, and the coverage is pretty good for creating a natural look. I don't wear face powders so rely on foundation and concealer to cover any imperfections but this stuff does the trick for me. Although if you're into your heavier makeup then I wouldn't recommend it as it's quite light.

The Even Better Skin Tone Correcting Lotion is another product which I can't live without. I bought it before I went to Gran Canaria as I didn't have any moisturiser with SPF in. The Even Better lotion can be worn over moisturiser and doesn't leave your skin looking greasy. Over time, it gradually fades any skin imperfections and I've definitely noticed a difference over the past month that I've been using it. It also protected my face really well from the sun on holiday so overall this product gets a massive thumbs up from me!

I love the Chubby Sticks from Clinique too. I recently bought some foundation and the skin tone correcting lotion and received a free gift set with loads of Clinique freebies in. One of the products was a Chubby Stick in 'Mega Melon' which is a lovely moisturising lip balm with a delightful tint. I find that now the weather is getting colder my lips are constantly chapped, so having a Chubby Stick in my bag is always a bonus. I also think the pencil shape of it is really cute. N'aww Chubs!

And that's it for now. Although Clinique is quite pricey compared to your standard face care and makeup ranges which you'd find in Superdrug or Boots, I'd definitely say it's worth the money especially if you want to keep your skin looking nice as you get older.
