There's Something About... Suno

Today I'm feeling inspired by... Suno

Created in 2008 by Max Osterweis, Suno is a label which is well known for its dramatic colours, bold prints and use of traditional African textiles. Back in 2009, Max released Suno's first collection compiling mostly vintage fabrics. The collection was a hit and was soon snapped up by the likes of Opening Ceremony... Not bad for a first attempt huh?

Pictured above are some of my favs from the Suno Spring 2013 collection. I was particularly taken by the use of prints and patterns, combined with the colours and fabrics. The silk effect jacket and skirt in the last two images are absolutely beautiful, and the print really emphasises their luxurious appearance - the print also reminds me of a Monet painting, which adds extra brownie points.

And finally... I'm feeling the whole wearing a skirt over a dress, with the hem of the dress showing from underneath (as exhibited in the second image at the top). It's an interesting idea, maybe I'll give it a go in the Spring...

Have you guys come across Suno before? What do you think?
