If you've never heard of Brat & Suzie then it's about time you did. I first heard of the brand and the two fabulous ladies behind it, Polly & Charlotte, when they appeared on Dragon's Den back in 2011. I remember thinking at the time how cute their animal themed designs were and I was eager to see how they'd do with the economy being the way it was. Two years on and they're still going strong with their clothes now being sold by online giant, ASOS. This jumper is from their latest spring collection and I have to say, it's right up my street. Those who know me well will know I'm a bit of a fan of animals - I've grown up with pets around me ever since I was born and I'll probably continue to have pets until I'm super old... like 90 or something.
I must be honest, I did find it difficult to style this jumper. Mainly because I never wear anything too casual and unlike the vests or t-shirts that Brat and Suzie sell, this jumper couldn't really be worn with a blazer and smartened up. I do love a challenge though, so I decided to team the short sleeved sweater with my floral jeans and added a cream shirt underneath for a quirky edge. Due to the oversized nature of the jumper (and my Hobbit-like frame) I decided to cinch it in with a rope effect belt and added plenty of bracelets to finish off the look.
And hey presto, a look which is still quite 'me' but is different at the same time.
What do you think of Brat & Suzie? Have you tried their clothes before?
