I've been looking to jump on the acid wash denim bandwagon for a while now but I've never really known what sort of item I'd like to try or how I would style such an item, particularly as acid wash is kind of grungy and a bit 80s (aka not my usual style!) A while ago I was after a pair of acid wash jeans from H&M however in the end I decided against buying them as they seemed quite casual and I didn't really know whether I'd wear them or not. In recent times I've seen that more and more retailers are selling acid wash clothes and so I figured that it was time to give the trend a go...
Warehouse have recently started stocking some acid wash beauties including the skater dress I'm wearing (or should I say waring) above, and I've also noticed a recent addition to their acid wash collection on their website in the form of this gorgeous skater skirt! I've always been a fan of Warehouse not only for their jeans but also for their beautiful dresses, particularly as they stock a 6 and their size 6's tend to fit me really well (whereas other high street retailers are often ridiculous with their sizing - I have huge problems with River Island size 6's being way too big). Warehouse are a little more expensive when it comes to clothes, probably on a par with Topshop, however their denim is so durable and hard-wearing that I can't recommend them enough. Practically all of my jeans are from there and so I figured that this dress would be perfecto as my first ever, acid wash wardrobe addition. And I was right! I can't get enough of it :)
Another recent addition to my wardrobe comes in the form of these gorgeous, studded T-Bar flats from Missguided which were just £19.99. Teamed with my trusted £1 lace socks from Primark these make a cool and on trend little duo! Plus, I thought they were quite similar to the Valentino Rock Studs which I've been ogling forever!
Will you be giving the acid wash trend a go this season?
