Hello folks! How are things?

First up, please let me introduce you guys to the latest addition to my ever-growing footwear collection. You may (or may not) recall me writing a guest blog post for a company called Inkkas a while back. Recently, the guys from Inkkas got in touch and wondered if I'd like to trial some of their high tops, obviously I had to say yes and these pair jumped right out at me. Aptly named after 'The London Sky', this particular pair are a new addition to the Inkkas high tops collection - conveniently ready for AW13! I really really like the colours and I think that these bad boys will go with pretty much EVERYTHING in my wardrobe as I love my brown, black and grey colour schemes when it comes to putting an outfit together!

If you didn’t already know about Inkkas, they're a socially conscious shoe company founded in 2012. The eco-brand create beautiful, handmade shoes that are made using traditional, South American textiles. Right from the start, Inkkas have always wanted to cultivate rather than exploit the South American communities who make their shoes, and rightly so. At Inkkas it’s not about making money, it’s about giving back to the community and the great feeling of selflessness that comes from that.
Their company promise reflects this as they only use authentic South American textiles; their products are made in South America by South Americans and they donate a portion of all proceeds to help local communities – 10% of sales go towards protecting and preserving the Amazon Rainforest. Pretty cool huh? Oh, and their shoes are suitable for Vegans too! I can certainly see Inkkas gaining similar popularity to the likes of Toms and Gandys Flipflops. Watch this space guys, you heard it here first!

In other news, I recently went on a shopping venture with Robyn to the Bullring. Whilst we were there, we ventured into Selfridges and had a gander around the Primark (yes you heard correctly) concession. Robyn pointed out some high waisted skinny jeans whilst we were in there and mentioned that they were meant to be half decent - in fact, she compared them to some Topshop jeans she had. I decided to give the black ones a try as they were a tenner and I needed some decent high waisted black skinnies that I can get away with wearing to work. I have to say, I'm really pleased with them. They're comfy, fit my legs nicely and of course, they're high waisted! Plus they were £10, can't really moan about that. Cheers Primark. Have you tried their high waisted jeans yet?
