Nude and black off the shoulder prom dress, £59 from Rare London* / Lace detail shoes, £20 in the River Island sale / Mint green bow belt, £2 from Primark / Feather clutch bag, Fiorelli / Fur stole, £4 from H&M
Here we are once again, a week has gone by and I haven't blogged once. The past week was filled with a fair few ups and downs, and I have to say, I was glad to see the back end of it by the time Friday came round. Those of you following me on Twitter / Instagram will probably know that my cat was put to sleep last Tuesday as he was diagnosed with liver cancer and was generally very poorly. I was, and still am, pretty devastated about the whole thing as he was an absolute hero. He was like my little furry cat brother. Sad times indeed. Rest in peace Coco pop.
There were some high points of last week too, I attended an exciting job interview (although that was on the same day that Coco was put to sleep) and had a fair few stories published on elleuk.com alongside generally having an awesome time interning there. But then I also got majorly splashed by a lorry (it was a true FML moment) and ripped a huge hole in my new Zara shirt by getting caught on a kitchen door handle. You win some, you lose some. It was a week of mixed emotions.
On a more positive, clothing-related note, I've been meaning to show you guys this lovely prom-style dress from Rare London for a while now but it's been difficult to try and get photos of it as a) I'm living in London temporarily without a SLR and b) the weather is always pretty naff. When I went home at the weekend I took the opportunity to take some snaps... I have to say I really like the whole off the shoulder look on this dress as it makes everything far more elegant looking, it's very 'Audrey'. The contrast between the black bodice and nude skirt is a winning factor too! I just need a fancy event to wear it to now...
Hope you're all keeping well xxx
