Outfit O'Clock #244 - The ELLE Style Awards

So I'm guessing you all want to know what went down at the ELLE Style Awards on Tuesday. Preparation for the event (on a personal level) was slightly lacking - and therefore chaotic - as I left it until Monday night to actually buy a dress... Oops. The reason for this being that a) I forgot to bring anything remotely 'style awards' appropriate to London with me and b) that when I spent a good 6 hours at Stratford Westfield at the weekend I could find ZERO items of clothing which fitted me. #shortgirlproblems. So, Monday evening consisted of a slightly crazed 'dash' to Oxford Street (mainly Topshop) where I tried on just about every smart dress in the store. After an hour of trying on I came away with this orange number from the petite range, which I think went down quite well... I also purchased some new 'sensible' (ok probably not that sensible, but sensible as far as high heels go) shoes from Office which happened to be the best footwear choice I've ever made. Comfort is key ladies, especially when mingling with celebs (nobody wants to have an arse-to-floor moment in front of famous people).

Embellished dress, £65 from the petite range at Topshop / Black platforms, £62 from Office / Ring from Topshop / Watch from Accurist

The night itself was amazing. Between the awesome entertainment provided by Prince and his band, the fantastic awards ceremony and then of course the plethora of famous faces all sat under one roof: Lily Allen, Cara Delevingne, Tom Ford, Pharrell, Katy Perry, Kylie Minogue, Henry Holland, Rita Ora, Jessie J, Tinie Tempah, Ellie Goulding etc. The list goes on... (You can check out all the pics here.) It was like walking around in a dream!

Highlights of the evening:

Meeting David Gandy, who then went on to introduce himself to Kenke (pictured left) and I (like he needed to introduce himself... really). He also shook my hand. I'm going to try and scrape a bit of DNA from my palm and clone the guy... Too far? Ok maybz not.

Suki Waterhouse tapping me on the shoulder and telling me I had a great fringe.

Pharrell and his uh-may-zing speech about how much he loved British people for supporting his music. That guy is a hero. Unfortunately the famed 'hat' was nowhere to be seen...

Katy Perry looking HAWT in Vivienne Westwood and telling us all about her $5 fashion finds when she was a nipper. She also won the ELLE Woman of the Year award. GO KP!

Dancing back to back by Emma Watson, who by the way, happens to be an absolute part-ay animal. Her dance moves = the best. (Still not quite registered that this even happened, she's my hero, omgahh fan girl moment).

Unlimited Möet. Need I say more?
