#255 - 爱 (Love)

Patterned high-neck top by Ruby Rocks, £29 from Stylist Pick* // Sleeveless jacket, £15 from eBay // Origami skirt from BANK (similar version in white here) // Black handbag, £39 from Nica* (coral version here) // Black flatforms, £36 from Fashion Union* // Marc by Marc Jacobs sunglasses, £104 from Sunglasses Shop // Glitter socks from Primark // Watch from Olivia Burton

I'm feeling inspired today, mainly by the Far East. I've always had a fascination with that neck of the woods. The fashion, the culture, the food! It's all right up my street. I think this printed top and embossed Nica bag add a modern, Oriental twist to this outfit. I'm a huge fan of the Ruby Rocks range at Stylist Pick. It's all a bit different, with patterns and textures that seem to stem from different cultures and countries. I definitely think this top was inspired by the Orient, however they've turned it into something really wearable and current with the high neck and boxy tee shape. I'm a sucker for a high-neck these days.

These flatforms (every time I type flatforms, my computer tries desperately to change it to flatworms) are my new fave wardrobe staple. Firstly because they're the comfiest shoes I own at the moment, and secondly because they make me a good 3 inches taller without having the woes of having to walk 'properly' in heels. I have to admit, sometimes I'm a right wobbly wizard when I try and walk in heels - my arms and legs go everywhere! These, however, are incredibly sturdy. It's guaranteed I'll be wearing them all summer.

Hope you're all enjoying the Bank Holiday!! I want to go on a picnic later today, I've been eyeing up all the discounted picnic baskets on the BHS site. Tempting...

  3. I'm a massive fan of Chinese culture too (I'm watching Karate Kid as I type, no joke) but the prints just don't suit me. You look lovely though pickle! Hope you're well! <3 Claire @ Jazzpad
