|Vitamin E Sink-In Moisture Mask, £12 from The Body Shop|
I'm quite a fan of The Body Shop products, in fact I'd say that 50% of the makeup in my makeup bag is from there. And it's not just their makeup that I like. I've always loved their selection of body butters (they always smell good enough to eat) and their latest range of Chocomania products is nothing short of incredible (the body lotion is a must for chocolate-lovers). So, when I tried a little sachet sample of Vitamin E Moisture Mask (which fell out of a magazine I was reading) I had high hopes. And as always, The Body Shop lived up to my expectations. So much so, that I went and bought a tub of the stuff!
I've used the hand lotion from the Vitamin E skincare range before and found it to be incredibly nourishing, especially for my 90 year old hands. Thankfully, the Moisture Mask is the same. I have dry/combination skin so I often get spots on my nose and chin if I moisturise too much. However other areas of my face, the cheeks and forehead area in particular, get quite dry. With the Moisture Mask, I usually wash my face with either Dove soap or Clinique face wash and then dab off any excess water with a warm, damp flannel. Then I apply the mask generously to my cheeks and forehead, with a thinner layer being applied to the nose and chin area (if I'm having a greasy skin day then I won't bother putting the mask on the 'problem' areas). Then I leave it on for about 5-8 minutes and blot with the damp flannel. Most of it should sink in, and any that is left on the surface of your skin will simply be removed by the flannel. Afterwards I find that my face feels amazing. My skin ends up being super smooth and hydrated. It's a winner, it smells dreamy and it's also £12. Can't really complain about that.
